The Jr Blues sweep the weekend with 3-2 wins on both Friday and Saturday night.
On Friday, Brady Tomlak got things going in the first period with a goal on a power play assisted by Michael Houle and Anthony Scarsella. The Chill tied it up, but then Houle was quick to respond with a goal assisted by Matt Long and Anthony Scarcsella to give the lead back to the Jr Blues. The Chill then tied it up again until Drew Richter scored to give the Jr Blues the lead at the end of the second period.
The defense held true as neither team scored in the third period and the Jr Blues held on for the 3-2 win.
On Saturday night, Kyle Meeh had a nice first period scoring two goals in 31 seconds. Arseni Vashchuk , Matt Long, Michael Houle, and Joe Immormino all recorded assists on the two goals. The Chill forced a 2-2 tie at the 8:41 mark in the third but, Trevor Stone scored at the 18:47 mark to give the Jr Blues a 3-2 lead which held strong for a win.
The Jr Blues will play next weekend in Wisconsin with a game against the Janesville Jets and two games against the Coulee Region Chill. The next home set will be on October 23rd and 24th against the Janesville Jets.
