Springfield Tops Topeka 4-2

Springfield started off the scoring at 2:37 of the first period, when forward Bradley Marek found the back of the net with assists were from Muzzillo and Fitzjerrells. Just a little over a minute later, Ethan Stewart lit the lamp getting helpers from Hollenstein and Kozyrev, putting Springfield ahead 2-0.  Marek and Stewart both scored again this period, at 7:41 and 17:22 respectively. Your Springfield Jr. Blues ended the first period with a 4-0 lead.

In a less eventful second period, Topeka finally responded with a goal of their own at 9:13 after switching goalies just before the intermission. The rest of the period was quiet from both teams, ending the period with a score of 4-1.

Similarly, the third period was a quiet one, with teams exchanging penalties but not scoring, until Topeka tallied at 17:22, making the score 4-2.
