Weekend Preview:Springfield Looks To Get Back On Track vs Kenai River

The Springfield Jr. Blues look to bounce back from a disappointing loss this past Tuesday, when they battle the Kenai River Brown Bears Friday and Saturday night at The Nelson Center.

Springfield (20-21-1-1) played at home Tuesday for the first time in 17 days and dropped the contest to the Janesville Jets 5-2. Springfield is looking to get back on track this weekend against a  Kenai River team (10-32-2-0) that has dropped their past 5 contests.

MARDI GRAS NIGHT: Friday night at The Nelson Center is Mardi Gras Night! Fans be sure to get to the game early to grab Cajun Food and Beverages provided by 5Flavors Catering and POUR Bar Services. They will be serving Chicken Gumbo, Hurricanes and more! There will also be a Mardi Gras Photo Station for fans to take photos with fun Mardi Gras props! Doors open at 6:05pm and puck drops at 7:05pm.

FEAR THE BEARD NIGHT: Saturday Night will be Fear the Beard Night at The Nelson Center presented by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. President Abraham Lincoln will be in attendance for the ceremonial puck drop and pose for photos with fans! There will also be a Create-A-Beard station for kids and a President Lincoln historical display provided by the Abraham Lincoln Museum.

Saturday night will also be “4 Score and $7 tickets!” If the Springfield Jr. Blues score 4 goals or more, fans in attendance will be able to purchase a PAIR of tickets to the February 24th or 25th Springfield game for just $7! Limit 1 pair of tickets per fan in attendance.
