The Springfield Jr. Blues players and their mascot Gilly spent the past week volunteering at local elementary schools.
Springfield players visited Fairview, Lee, Hazel Dell and Jane Addams Elementary schools and spoke to the students about respect, responsibility, teamwork, kindness and the importance of getting good grades in school. The players then proceeded to read to students and even take time to interact during recess.
The Springfield Jr. Blues would like to thank all the students, faculty and staff of the schools for allowing us to come and speak, play and read to your students!
