Springfield Holds On For 3-2 Victory

The Springfield Jr. Blues got a goal in each as they defeated the Coulee Region Chill 3-2 on Friday night at the Nelson Center in Lincoln Park. The win moves Springfield into a tie for 3rd place in the NAHL Midwest Division standings.

Springfield received goals from Matt Cassidy in the first period and Braden Brown in the second period. Max Nylander put in a power play goal with 13:16 left in the game. Springfield’s defense was able to keep Coulee Region silent the rest of the way to seal the victory.

Goalie Mike Robinson, a 2015 NHL draft pick by the San Jose Sharks, stopped 32 of 34 shots. Springfield outshot the Chill 52-34.
