Mar 11, 2017

The Springfield Jr. Blues scored early, but were unable to hang onto their lead falling to the Janesville Jets 4-1 on Saturday night in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Springfield got on the scoreboard just 1 minute and 34 seconds into the game. Forward Spencer DenBeste notched his first goal as a Springfield Jr. Blue on an assist from Aiden Beck.

That was all the offense that Springfield was able to generate as Janesville scored four unanswered goals over the next two periods to seal a 4-1 victory.

Springfield will next play on Friday in La Crosse, Wisconsin against the Coulee Region Chill. As of this writing, Coulee Region is 4 points behind Springfield for the 4th and final playoff spot in the NAHL Midwest Division.
