Springfield Jr. Blues alumni and current Air Force Academy forwards Trevor Stone and Brady Tomlak received their Atlantic Hockey Championship rings over the weekend. Air Force won the Atlantic Hockey Championship by defeating Robert Morris University 2-1 on March 18th and clinching a spot in the NCAA tournament.
Stone, a native of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, scored 6 goals and added 6 assists while playing in 26 games in his first season with the Falcons.
Tomlak, a native of Oakland, Michigan, scored 5 goals and had 13 assists in 38 games played. He also scored a goal in the NCAA regional final against then-ranked #3 Harvard. Air Force would go on to lose 3-2, missing out on a trip to the Frozen Four.
Both Stone and Tomlak will begin their Sophomore campaigns at Air Force on October 6th against former Springfield teammate Brennan Blaszczak and University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
