Pre-season game announced!

Aug 25, 2010

The Springfield Jr. Blues hockey team will be hosting the Chicago Hitmen in a
benefit game to assist the Loftus family with Danielle’s medical expenses. The game will
be held on Saturday night, September 4th at 7:00 p.m. at the Franklin P. Nelson Center in
Lincoln Park, Springfield, Illinois. The team is rallying around one of their board
members, Jeff Loftus, whose daughter, Danielle was critically injured in an accident on
Lake Springfield in July. Danielle, who has been in intensive care since the accident at a
hospital in Peoria, was recently moved to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago to
continue her recovery.

Ticket prices are $3.00 and are available at McGuire Sports and the Nelson
Center. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the game. All proceeds
of the game will go to the Loftus family for medical bills. The community is invited to
come out and watch the newest edition of the Springfield Jr. Blues versus the Chicago
Hitmen, one of the new teams in the North American Hockey League. This is the least
expensive family entertainment ticket in town. Come out Saturday night, September 4th,
have a great time and help the Loftus family with medical expenses.
