Players To Watch: Josh Biasillo

The Springfield Jr. Blues will be running a featured series called “Players to Watch”. These stories will highlight the newest Springfield Jr. Blues players that will be competing at Main Camp.  The camp is FREE to all those who wish to attend and will begin on Friday, June 23rd, and conclude on Sunday afternoon with the All-Star Game.

Acquired: Trade with Johnstown Tomahawks

Josh Biasillo was acquired in a trade with fellow North American Hockey League member, the Johnstown Tomahawks. Springfield was able to trade a 4th round draft pick to acquire a player with NAHL experience. In the 2016-17 season, Biasillo appeared in 56 games for Johnstown, contributing 6 goals and 9 assists.

Springfield Head Coach/GM Tyler Rennette had this to say about Biasillo, “Josh is a skilled veteran that will be great both on the ice and in the locker room. With his experience, he should be able to make an impact immediately for us.”
