Jr. Blues Take Down Chill

The Jr. Blues got the win over the Coulee Region Chill by the score of 4-3 to split the weekend.

 

The Chill scored twice in the first and held the Jr. Blues scoreless to enter the second period up 2-0. In the second period Nate Viberg scored off assists form Brady Tomlak and Jeff Skinner to cut the lead to 2-1. The Jr. Blues then felt some déjà vu when Viberg scored again off assists from Tomlak and Skinner to tie the game at 2-2 which ould be the score heading into the third period. Josh Bell then scored off assists from Anthony Scarsella and Anthony Tzveyn to give the Jr. Blues a 3-2 lead. Coulee tied it up at 3-3 until Anthony Tzveyn scored off of assists from Joey Lupo and Sam Craggs to give the Jr. Blues a 4-3 lead that would become the final score.

 

Niko Della Maggiore had 20 saves and Tommy Nappier had 16 saves in the in the win.

 

The Jr. Blues are back at home next weekend to take on the Kenai River Brown Bears out of Alaska.
