Paul Byrne and Mike Williams scored two goals apiece and goalie Tyler Parks made 31 saves Saturday night to lead the Springfield Junior Blues to their third straight victory, 6-2 over the Janesville Jets. The Blues (7-9-0) swept a two-game series from Janesville (10-2-1) and have won three in a row for the first time this season. Byrne opened the scoring at 19 seconds of the first period to give the Junior Blues a lead they never relinquished. Byrne also scored in the third period to make it 4-2, and then Williams added the last two goals. Josef Pontasch and Gavin Tufte also scored for Springfield. Janesville outshot the Junior Blues 33-27, but Parks frustrated the Jets for the second straight night. He made 29 saves Friday in the Junior Blues’ 3-2 victory.
