Jr. Blues sign Trey Jefferis to Tender for 2023-24 Season

May 16, 2023

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, Proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that we have signed forward Trey Jefferis to a tender agreement for the 2023-24 season.

Jefferis, a native of Hummelstown PA, played this past season for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers U18. In 44 games played he tallied 34 goals and 25 assists.

“Trey has the ability to take over a game with his skill set,” said Head Coach Todd Pococke. “He loves the game and is hungry to get better every time he steps on the ice.”

Jefferis is the fifth player to sign a tender with the Jr. Blues for the 2023-34 season as he joins Nick Bunch (Belle Tire U18), Jayer Luedke (Carshield U18), Zach Howard (St. Thomas Academy), and Caden Hagarty (Rosemount HS).

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team and may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which is held each year in June.
