Apr 15, 2020

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Dylan Roebuck and defenseman Max Ruoho have signed tenders for the 2020-21 season!

Roebuck, a 6’2” 190 lbs. native of Kingston, PA, recently completed his season as part of the New Jersey Titans 18U program. In 39 total games between the NAPHL and AYHL, Roebuck tallied 24 points on 15 goals and 9 assists.

“Playing for the Titans has been nothing but excellent for me and my hockey future,” stated Roebuck. “I was given an opportunity to thrive while playing with a great group of guys under elite exposure. I’d like to thank Coach Nick Skerlick and Coach George Haviland for all their help throughout the year.”

Ruoho recently finished up his first season of junior hockey with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres in the OJHL, tallying 42 points on 1 goal and 41 assists in 52 games. The 6’0” 183 lbs. native of Madison, WI is a NAPHL grad as well after playing three seasons with the Madison Capitols program.

“Dylan and Max both are good young players with a lot of potential in their future,” said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. “We are excited to see them at camp this summer.”

Roebuck and Ruoho are the sixth & seventh players to sign a tender with the Jr. Blues for the 2020-21 season. They join Daniel Rozsival (Chicago Mission U18), Brian Craven (South Shore Kings 18U), Jacob Zwirecki (Buffalo Jr. Sabres 18U), Riley McAlese (Sioux Falls Stampede 18U), and Zachary Simon (North Iowa Bulls).

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on July 21, 2020.
