Jr. Blues Sign Miner to Tender for 2022-23

Jan 26, 2022

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that we have signed defenseman Scott Miner to a tender agreement for the 2022-23 NAHL season!

Miner, a native of Winnipeg, MB, CAN, is currently playing for the Colorado Thunderbirds 16U AAA team. In 46 combined games between T1EHL and 16U AAA he has scored 8 goals and added 37 helpers as he sits with the 4th most points on his team. Prior to his time in Colorado, Miner played for Rink Hockey Academy in Winnipeg.

Scott is the fourth player to sign a tender for the 2022-23 season. He joins forward Hadley Hudak (Victory Honda 18U AAA), defenseman Benjamin Thompson (Benilde-St. Margaret’s School), and forward Alexander Fendler (St. Louis AAA Blues 18U AAA) who have already signed on for next season. We want to congratulate Scott for all of the hard work he has put in to this point and we look forward to seeing how he continues to progress moving forward!

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team.Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which is held each year in the summer.
