Jan 12, 2022

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that we have signed forward Alexander Fendler to a tender agreement for the 2022-23 season!

Fendler, a native of St. Louis, MO, is a right handed shot playing for the St. Louis AAA Blues 18U AAA team this season. In 10 T1EHL games he has 3 goals and 4 assists and in 12 MES 18U games he has 2 goals and 6 assists. He has grown up in the Blues organization as well as playing two seasons for St. John Vianney High School where he accumulated 11 goals and 18 assists in 24 games.

Fendler is our third tender signing of the season as he joins a group currently consisting of Hadley Hudak (Victory Honda 18U AAA) and Benjamin Thompson (Benilde-St. Margaret). We want to congratulate Alexander for all of his work to this point and we look forward to seeing how he continues to progress the rest of this season!

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team.Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which is held each year in the summer.
