May 15, 2023

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, Proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that we have signed forward Brando DiAntonio to a tender agreement for the 2023-24 season.

DiAntonio, a native of Los Angeles, CA, played this past season for Biggby Coffee U18. In 48 games played he tallied 10 goals and 19 assists.

“Brando has a lot of speed and skill that we are excited to see in Springfield,” said Head Coach Todd Pococke. “He’s worked hard to get to this point and we believe he will put the work in to get better every single day.”

DiAntonio is the sixth player to sign a tender with the Jr. Blues for the 2023-34 season as he joins Nick Bunch (Belle Tire U18), Jayer Luedke (Carshield U18), Zach Howard (St. Thomas Academy), Caden Hagarty (Rosemount HS), and Trey Jefferis (Philadelphia Jr. Flyers)

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team and may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which is held each year in June.
