May 13, 2020

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Cameron Bauer has signed a tender for the 2020-21 season!

Bauer, a native of West Seneca, NY, is coming off a strong season at Nichols School in Buffalo. The 5’8” 154 lbs left-handed forward appeared in 63 combined games between Midget and CISAA action, scoring 41 goals and 35 assists. Prior to attending Nichols School, Bauer played for the Buffalo Regals and the West Seneca High School hockey team.

“Cameron is a good young player with a lot of potential,” said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. “He showed a lot of offensive skill last season and we are looking forward to seeing him skate at camp this summer.”

Bauer is the eighth player to sign a tender with the Jr. Blues for the 2020-21 season. He joins Daniel Rozsival (Chicago Mission U18), Brian Craven (South Shore Kings 18U), Jacob Zwirecki (Buffalo Jr. Sabres 18U), Riley McAlese (Sioux Falls Stampede 18U), Zachary Simon (North Iowa Bulls), Dylan Roebuck (New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U), and Max Ruoho (Buffalo Jr. Sabres – OJHL).

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on July 21, 2020.
