Jr. Blues In the NHL

Springfield, IL- The Springfield Jr. Blues are happy to announce that former players Greg Rallo and Mike McKenna signed NHL contracts.

Rallo, who played for the Jr. Blues from 2000-2002, signed with the Florida Panthers. While Rallo was with the Blues he amassed 137 points in 2 seasons, earning a scholarship to play at Ferris State University in the CCHA. Rallo has spent the last 6 season playing professional hockey and made his NHL debut last season with Florida.

McKenna, who played for the Jr. Blues from 1999-2001 and was a teammate of Rallo, signed with his hometown St. Louis Blues.  McKenna played over 60 games for the Jr. Blues and earned a scholarship to St. Lawrence University in the ECAC. McKenna has spent the last 7 season playing professional hockey and made his NHL debut in 2008-09 with the Tampa Bay Lighting. McKenna has appeared in 17 NHL games to date.
