Jr. Blues Help Pass Out Meals for Thanksgiving

Nov 23, 2018

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues helped at the Feast of Plenty at Central Baptist Church here in Springfield, IL yesterday.

From 10 a.m. to noon, the players assisted volunteers in passing out meals to those who may not have had a Thanksgiving dinner otherwise. Over 100 volunteers were needed for the event to help cook, serve, provide transportation, deliver meals, visit with guest, donate deserts, and help clean up.

It’s the fourth year that the Jr. Blues have helped with Feast of Plenty and it is one of numerous events that the team has been involved with. In addition to Feast of Plenty, the team has also helped with Mall-O-Ween and Scheel’s Halloween Event this season. Keep an open eye and ear for future events that the team will be helping with.
