Jr. Blues get 6-0 Win Over Magicians

5 different Jr. Blues players scored to lead the team to a 6-0 victory in the first game of the weekend set against the Minnesota Magicians.

Both teams struggled to score in the first period until Anthony Scarsella found the back of the net off assists from Kyle Meeh and Sam Craggs at the 18:58 mark. Once they got the scoring going they wouldn’t look back, following the first period goal with three, second period goals. The first was a Matt Long Goal off assists from Brennan Blaszczak and Scarsella. The second was a hunter goal off assists from Joey Lupo and Blaszcsak. The third was a goal from Luke Radetic off of assists from Drew Richter and Scarsella.

The Jr. Blues entered the third period with a 4-0 lead but the scoring didn’t stop there. Brady Tomlak had a pair of goals to give the game its 6-0 final. The first was off assists from Craggs and Trevor Stone; the second, off assists from Hunter Schneider and Blaszczak.

Tommy Nappier earned the win and the shutout with 23 saves.

The Jr. Blues will go for the sweep tomorrow night when they play the Magicians again in Minnesota.
