Jr. Blues Alumni Rewind

Jan 24, 2019

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues announced this week that current goaltender Jack Williams was ranked #9 on the NHL Central Scouting List for North American goaltenders. Williams, a Michigan State University commit, is continuing the tradition of excellent play by current and former Jr. Blues players. Here is a recap of some of those players.

Mike Robinson posted his second shutout of the year in a 5-0 win for the University of New Hampshire against Merrimack on Friday night, making 25 saves. On the year, he has .920 save percentage and 2.26 goals against average. He’s helped the Wildcats to a 6-1-1 mark in their last eight games. Robinson was named the Hockey East Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Trevor Stone is continuing to stay hot for the Air Force Academy. On Saturday, Stone scored both goals in a 2-2 tie with Sacred Heart. Stone has 3 goals in his last four games, and has 7 goals and 2 assists on the season.

Tommy Nappier is having perhaps one of the most underrated seasons in the NCAA. In 13 games played, Nappier has a 9-1-2 record with a 1.78 GAA and a .940 save percentage. Nappier helped the Buckeyes defeat Penn State this past weekend stopping 24 of 28 shots.

After leaving hockey due to a string of concussions, Jennings turned to a different career path: music. Jennings released his debut album “Shine” in 2004, and has released two more albums since then, “Long Black Cadillac” in 2008 and “American Vinyl” in 2016.
