Apr 14, 2020

Springfield, Illinois – Now that we have concluded a recap of our NCAA alumni in the conferences of Division 1, we now shift our attention to Division 3 hockey. We will start by reviewing the SUNYAC, MASCAC, and NE10 conferences in today’s Alumni Report!

Our adventure into D3 hockey begins in Buffalo, NY where freshman Nikita Kozyrev is coming off an historic season. The Buffalo State Bengals forward appeared in 26 games this season, finishing with SUNYAC Rookie of the Year and 1st Team All-Conference honors after tallying 9 goals and 23 assists. He led the Bengals in points (32), was third in assists in the conference, and had the third most points among all D3 freshmen.

Kozyrev had four Rookie of the Week honors this year alongside one Player of the Week nod. The Tallinn, Estonia native posted the most points by a Bengals player since 2008-09 en route to leading his team to their 10th straight playoff berth. Kozyrev was one of 15 alumni who recorded their first NCAA goal this season.

From Buffalo State to Westfield State we now focus on senior goaltender Kameron Limburg. The Howell, MI native appeared in six games this season and recorded a 1-0-1, 3.43 GAA, and .904 SV% stat line. In 39 career appearances, the 2019-20 Winter Sportsmanship & All-Academic Team member had a 13-18-2 record with a 4.05 GAA and .884 SV%. He won one MASCAC Goaltender of the Week award this season and is the only alum currently playing in the conference

Our final spotlight today is on Saint Anselm defenseman Mark Leach. The Londonderry, NH native played 14 games this season and recorded 6 assists and a +2 rating. He recorded his first NCAA assist and point November 2 against Worcester State.

Congratulations to our three alumni representing the Jr. Blues in the SUNYAC, MASCAC, NE10 conferences. We are proud of the work you’ve accomplished on and off the ice this season and look forward to seeing what you’re able to achieve next season!
