Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that Assistant Coach Josh Dallmann has accepted a position as Head Coach of the Dells Ducks of the USPHL!

Dallmann joined the Jr. Blues coaching staff during the 2017-18 season after spending time as an Assistant Coach for the Kenai River Brown Bears and as a Head Coach for the Breezy Point North Stars of the NA3HL. As a player, Dallmann played for the Metro Jets (CSHL/NA3HL) and the Central Wisconsin Saints (GLJHL) before finishing up his playing career by playing college hockey in New York.

“I’d like to thank Tyler and Dan for the opportunity to be a part of the most storied franchise in the North American Hockey League,” said Dallmann. “I’ve learned so much in my time here in Springfield and I wish the Jr. Blues the best of luck this season and beyond. I hope that in the future our paths will cross again, and I’m excited to begin this next step as Head Coach of the Ducks.”

Josh will be missed by players, fans, and staff. His enthusiasm and passion for coaching junior hockey was contagious, and his hard work both on and off the ice will be difficult to replace. In his two seasons with the Jr. Blues, Josh helped us reach the playoffs in back to back seasons and was instrumental in helping to move over 30 players on to NCAA hockey. On behalf of the fans, billets, players, and staff, the Springfield Jr. Blues would like to thank Josh for all that he helped us accomplish in his tenure here and wish him the best of luck of in his new position!
