Hagen Moe Commits to Bowling Green

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce that rookie forward Hagen Moe has committed to play collegiately for Bowling Green University!

Moe, a 2003 birth year from Grand Rapids, MI, is in his first junior hockey season and has continued to contribute consistently since joining the Jr. Blues early in the season. In 29 games with the shield on his chest he has registered 15 goals, 10 assists, and has a +9 rating. He had played previously within the Belle Tire program for the last four seasons, capped off by a 46 point performance during the 2020-21 season for their 18U AAA team.

“Hagen is a hard worker who comes everyday to the rink ready to compete,” said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. “Bowling Green is getting a phenomenal young man and we are very proud of him.” He will join a Bowling Green program that currently has two Jr. Blues alumni playing for them in Sam Craggs (2015-16) and Coale Norris (2015-16).

*Update*: Moe finished the 2021-22 campaign with 28 goals, 16 assists, 129 penalty minutes, and a +15 rating overall in 52 games. He finished the season as the Jr. Blues leading goal scorer, 6th in assists, T-3rd in overall points (44), 2nd in PIMs, and the 5th best +/- on the team. Hagen was the fourth player to commit to a collegiate program after Michael Valdez & Fisher Scott (Colorado College) and Connor Smith (Union College). He was succeded in committing collegiately by Joey Dosan (Army-West Point), Ethan Roberts (Univ. of St. Thomas), Mac Gadowsky (Army-West Point), and Tristan Shewchuk (College of St. Scholastica).
