Springfield, Illinois – We hope that everyone has been enjoying the start of the NHL playoffs and, with so much excitement over hockey in the air, we wanted to make sure that we provided an update on what’s going on with the Jr. Blues.

Getting Back to the Ice: An Update on the Jr. Blues

We regret to announce that we have made the decision to cancel our 2020 Main Tryout Camp scheduled for August 13-16th due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While the guidelines set forth by the DCEO and IDPH under the All Sports Policy prevent us from holding our camp as scheduled, our decision was ultimately made with the health and safety of players and staff in mind.

Despite this decision, we are committed to developing the best practices and protocols for our staff, players, and fans for the 2020-21 NAHL regular season. The season, which would normally begin in mid-September, has been pushed back while the league continues to monitor the situation in all of the NAHL communities. A target start date of October 9th was announced in late July and the annual NAHL Showcase and Robertson Cup have both been rescheduled as well.

We will continue to monitor the guidelines issued by local, state, and federal agencies as we work with them on how to best move forward. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to stay up to date on all of the latest information!
