Brandon Puricelli Commits to Minnesota-Duluth

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Brandon Puricelli has committed to the University of Minnesota-Duluth!

Puricelli, 21, has played parts of three seasons with the Jr. Blues and has been phenomenal this season. The Ellisville, MO native was an NAHL Top Prospects participant in February where he recorded 2 assists and overall on the season Puricelli has 30 goals and 48 assists in 57 games played. His 48 assists this season is a new Jr. Blues single season record, and his 78 points this season is the second most points in a single season.

“Brandon has played over 130 games with us here in Springfield,” Jr. Blues head coach Tyler Rennette said, “He has grown into a very good player who continues to improve each season. This is a well deserved opportunity for him and Minnesota-Duluth is getting one hell of a player.”

Brandon Puricelli is climbing up the record books, both for single season numbers and career totals for the Jr. Blues. As he embarks on his collegiate career, the Springfield Jr. Blues organization and fan base wish him not only the best on the ice but in the classroom as well.
