2023 Entry Draft Summary

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce the players that we selected in yesterday’s 2023 NAHL Entry Draft!

If you were following the Draft on HockeyTV, nahl.com, or on our social media pages, these names won’t be a surprise to you. However, we wanted to make sure we took the time to give these young men the introduction and welcome that they deserve.

Here is the 2023 Jr. Blues Draft Class!

Rd. 1 Pick #8 – Nick Mikan

Nick is a 6’5” right-handed forward from Edina, MN who played for the Steinbach Pistons in the MJHL last season. In 56 games for the Pistons he scored 16 goals and added 18 assists. He notched 1 goal and 2 assists in 16 playoff games.

Rd. 2 Pick #60 – Joel Kinnander

Joel is a 6’3” left-handed forward who is entering his final year of junior hockey. The Kalmar, SWE native played this past season for Olofstroms J20 tallying 16 goals and 18 assists in 29 games played.

Rd. 3 Pick #69 – Brady Ingebritson

Brady is a right-handed forward from Woodbury, MN who played this past season for the Hill-Murray School. In 25 games, Brady tallied 10 goals and added 12 assists and overall, in three seasons at Hill-Murray he had 25 goals and 36 assists.

Rd. 4 Pick #104 – Maddox Lizotte

Maddox is a right shot defenseman from Bloomfield Township, MI. He played the last two season at St. Marks prep school. In his two seasons he notched 6 goals and 31 assists in 54 games played.

Rd. 6 Pick #168 – Andon Coles

Andon is a native of St. Albert, AB Canada and brings two years of junior hockey experience to the capital city playing the last two seasons with the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In 102 games with the Bobcats, he tallied 3 goals and 18 assists.

Rd. 7 Pick #200 – Simzon Koch

Simon is a 6’ left shot forward from Gothenburg, SWE. In 38 games played for Frolunda HC J20 last season, Simon notched 4 goals and added 3 assists.

Rd. 8 Pick #232 – Niko Laus

Niko is a forward and is a native of Belle River, ON Canada and played for the Toronto Jr. Canadians in the OJHL. In 48 games in notched 7 goals and added 11 assists.

Rd. 9 Pick #264 – Bobby Bartell

Bobby is a right shot forward that played for the Chicago Mission AAA U16 program last season. The Native of Winnetka, IL dressed two games for the Jr. Blues last season and notched 1 goal during that time. Bobby is committed to the University of Notre Dame.

Rd. 10 Pick #296 – Isaac Baker

Isaac comes to Springfield from the Wausau Cyclones of the NA3HL. The native of St. Cloud, MN tallied 24 points for the Cyclones last season.

Our draft picks will join our tendered and returning players at Main Camp in July to compete for roster spots on next seasons roster. We want to congratulate each of our 9 selections in the draft for the hard work they have put into this point, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone at Main Camp next month!
