2023-24 Jr. Blues Schedule

Springfield, Illinois – The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce the release of our 2023-24 regular season schedule! There are a few important points to make note of for this year’s schedule and we have all that information for you below!

Our 31st season will kick off at the North American Hockey League Showcase September 13-16, 2023, at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, MN. Our home opener will be September 22, 2023, when we welcome the Kenai River Brown Bears to the Nelson Center for a pair of games.

The Schedule by the Numbers:

  • The Jr. Blues schedule comprises of 60 games: 30 Home and 30 Away games. However, we will only have 28 games at the Nelson Center as 2 of the games at the Showcase will count as home games.
  • We will have 30 games in 2023 (including the Showcase), and 30 games in 2024.
  • There will be more home games at the Nelson Center in 2024 (13 before and 15 after)
  • Our lone out-of-division opponents (outside the Showcase) will once again be the North Iowa Bulls when they visit in November.
  • Our road schedule consists of two trips to Alaska for the third consecutive season. We travel up to face Fairbanks and Kenai River in October, and then once again to face Anchorage and Fairbanks in March.
  • We will have two three-game series at the Nelly: one against the Anchorage Wolverines in December, and another against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in early January.

The Jr. Blues will once again be in the very strong and competitive Midwest Division with the Janesville Jets (8), Chippewa Steel (8), Wisconsin Windigo (8), Minnesota Wilderness (8), Fairbanks Ice Dogs (7), Kenai River Brown Bears (7), and the Anchorage Wolverines (6).
