Forward To Watch:

Robert Blueger: The second year forward will be riding a hot-stick into Springfield this weekend. The Lake Superior State commit exploded this past Saturday for 3 goals and 1 assist against the Bismarck Bobcats. Springfield will have to keep a close eye on this dynamic forward.

Between The Pipes:

Josh Benson: After serving as a back-up to now USHL goaltender Erik Gordon, Benson has taken over the starting role for the Ice Dogs. He has yet to fall to the pressure of being the number 1 goaltender. Benson has played in 4 games and has a 1.00 GAA to go along with a .951 Save % .

Nikita KozyrevThe forward from Estonia has settled in nicely on Springfield’s top line. Kozyrev leads all Springfield forwards in goals with 3. Although not the biggest guy on the ice at 5’8″, Kozyrev does have some flash to his game as you can see below.

Manning The Blue Line:

Jordan Muzzillo: The 20-year old defenseman has stepped up his production in his second year with the team. Muzzillo currently leads the team in points and tied for the lead in assists, thanks to a productive weeked where the Capron, Illinois native tallied 3 assists against the Kenai River Brown Bears.
