Springfield Prepares For Matchup With Coulee Region

The Springfield Jr. Blues have their final home series of 2016 this weekend at The Nelson Center at Lincoln Park. Games are on Friday December 9th and Saturday December 10th. Springfield (12-11-1-1) will do battle with division rival Coulee Region (13-7-2-0). Coulee Region currently sits 2 points ahead of Springfield for third place in the NAHL Midwest Division Standings.

This weekend will feature special edition Holiday Sweater Jerseys that Springfield will wear during the games. The jerseys will be auctioned live at the games this weekend. This will also be the last weekend to register for a chance to win 2 tickets to the 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic in St. Louis, Missouri.

On Friday, Springfield will be holding their annual Teddy Bear Toss to benefit Toys for Tots. Every fan that brings a teddy bear, or plush toy, to the game to donate will receive admission for only $5 at the door. When Springfield scores their first goal, fans will throw the teddy bear, or plush toy, they brought to the game on the ice. The items will then be collected and donated to the Toys for Tots charity. Puck drops at 7:05pm.

Saturday night is the Holiday Skate With The Team night, presented by springfieldmoms.org. Santa Claus will be in attendance to take photos with fans and after the game, fans will be able to participate in a post-game skate with the Springfield Jr. Blues players after the game. Puck drops at 6:05pm.
