Your Springfield Jr. Blues came away with an overtime loss tonight against the Minnesota Magicians, making the final series 2-1 in favor of Minnesota. The Springfield Jr. Blues are home again next weekend on Friday and Saturday nights vs. the Janesville Jets.

 

The first period started off with the Magicians finding the back of the net at 16:07. We ended the period with a score of 1-0.

 

Springfield started off by tying up the second period with a Power Play goal from Brandon Puricelli, with an assist from Stewart, at 7:13. We ended the period with a score of 1-1.

 

The third period was uneventful, sending the game into yet another overtime. Minnesota found the net first, ending the game with a score of 2-1. Goaltender Evan Fear stopped 25 of the 27 pucks he saw tonight, earning him at SVV of 0.926% despite a tough loss.
