The Springfield Jr. Blues gave up a lead and fell in overtime on Thursday night against the Minnesota Magicians. On Friday, Springfield turned the tables and came back to tie the game late and win in overtime 4-3.

Springfield scored first on a goal by defenseman Max Osborne. The goal was his first in the North American Hockey League. However, Minnesota scored two consecutive goals to take a 2-1 lead in the third period.

With Springfield trailing, defenseman Jordan Muzzillo was able to find the back of the net during a 5-on-3 power play. Just two minutes later, the Magicians were able to retake the lead 3-2. Then with 3:12 left in regulation, Osborne put another shot past the Minnesota goaltender to tie the game at 3 and send it to overtime.

In the overtime period, forward Cole Lawrence won a battle in the corner, then Nikita Kozyrev pushed the puck to the slot where a wide open Muzzillo was able to bury the puck in the net for his second of the game and seal the victory for Springfield.
