Springfield Shutout by Fairbanks 3-0

The Springfield Jr. Blues were unable to solve the Fairbanks Ice Dogs goaltender on Friday night at The Nelson Center, as they were shutout at home for only the second time this year losing 3-0.

Springfield was able to generate shots on the Fairbanks goaltender, outshooting the Ice Dogs 39-36 in the game, but could not light the lamp.

Springfield goaltender Mike Robinson was in goal for Springfield, stopping 33 of 36 Ice Dog shots.

Springfield will look to avenge their loss Saturday night at The Nelson Center on “Try Hockey For Free Day.” Fans, be sure to get here early on Saturday Night! Iron Workers Local 46 is providing the first 250 fans in attendance with a Springfield Jr. Blues Drawstring Bag!

Also, to help celebrate “Hockey Week Across America,” the Springfield Jr. Blues will provide a “Try Hockey for Free” event! From 4-5pm, fans will have the opportunity to play hockey with Gilly and Springfield Jr. Blues players on the new DekHockey Rink outside of The Nelson Center. No skating is required and all equipment will be provided by DekHockey.
