The Superheroes brought out a great crowd for “Superhero Night”, but couldn’t transition their powers to the Springfield Jr. Blues, as they fell to the Coulee Region Chill 7-1.
The story of the game was the Coulee Region power play. The Chill scored 4 goals on 6 power play opportunities, including goals on the first 3 penalties against Springfield. Springfield did not score on their only power play opportunity.
Springfield’s only goal came in the first period as defenseman Max Osborne found the back of the net on assists from Fabio Hollenstein and Cole Lawrence.
Evan Fear and Connor Poczos split time in net with Fear taking the loss, stopping 13 of 16 Coulee Region shots.
Springfield will be looking for revenge as they battle Coulee Region once more. Tomorrow is Scout Night followed by a post-game skate with the team!
