On the weekend of September 11th and 12th the Jr. Blues welcome back the Fighting Illini of the University of Illinois. The University of Illinois is a member of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League and are lead by Coach Nick Fabrini. This will be the fourth pre season the Jr. Blues and the Illini faceoff in the preseason. The following weekend on September 18th and 19th the Jr. Blues are going to take on the men’s hockey team from Lindenwood University. The Lindenwood Lions, who the Jr Blues played last year in preseason play, is also a member of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League. They are led by Coach Rick Zombo who played 12 seasons in the NHL and lead the Lions to a record of 17-15-2 last season.
