The Springfield Jr. Blues will be running a featured series called “Players to Watch”. These stories will highlight the newest Springfield Jr. Blues players that will be competing at Main Camp. The camp is FREE to all those who wish to attend and will begin on Friday, June 23rd, and conclude on Sunday afternoon with the All-Star Game.

Shane Haviland was acquired by the Springfield Jr. Blues when he signed a tender in March 2017. Haviland spent last season playing in the North American Prospects Hockey League with the New Jersey Jr. Titans, where he accumulated 9 goals and 12 assists in 18 games.
Springfield Head Coach/GM Tyler Rennette had this to say about Haviland, “Shane is a smart hockey player. He was able to showcase his talent in the NAPHL, averaging over a point a game, and should transition well into the North American Hockey League.”
