Jr. Blues Tender Kellenberger

May 15, 2012- The Springfield Jr. Blues of the North American Hockey league are proud to announce goaltender Ryan Kellenberger has signed a tender for the 2012-13 season.

Kellenberger played this past season for the Colorado Thunderbirds Midget Major team, members of the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League. Kellenberger started the season with the Whichita Falls Wildcats of the NAHL. After joining Colorado in the middle of the season, he collected 18 wins, including 6 shutouts, earning a save percentage of .937 and a goals against average of 1.33.

Kellenberger is from Los Altos, CA, where finished high school with a 4.1 GPA and is a National Honor Society Scholar. He is also a lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation and has been recognized as a Valedictorian Awardee.

Last year, Kellenberger won the Rocky Mountain District with the Colorado Thunderbirds and attended Nationals. He has also attended the US National Team Development Program's Warren Strelow Goaltending camp.

“Ryan is a big kid who is very athletic and moves extremely well. We are excited about signing Ryan and expect him to make a strong impact next season,” said head coach Tony Zasowski.
