Jr. Blues Return Home to Face Jamestown

The Jr. Blues return home this weekend, fresh off their trip to the great white north where they we able to take 7 of 8 points. The team enjoyed a sweep over the Kenai River Brown Bears before traveling to Fairbanks. In Fairbanks, the team took advantage of their opportunities on Friday to skate to a 6-3 win before loosing in a shootout Saturday night, 2-1.

The Jr. Blues have been able to find the scoring touch as of late. Ryan Atkinson and Parker Johnson as leading the scoring attack. Both players have 6 points in their last 5 games. Atkinson has 3 goals, while Johnson has chipped in 5 assists. Jeff McFarland has 3 goals and Brett Skibba has two in the 5-game span as well. Terry Leabo is leading the defensive attack with 5 points in the last 5 games, on 1 goal and 4 assists.

Matt Leon has been strong in net, posting a 4-0 record, which includes a 2.50 GAA and a .927 SV%, in the past 5 games.

The Jr. Blues are 5-0-1 in their last 6 games, scoring 21 goals, while only surrendering 12. The teams has fought their way back into a tie for 5th place in the North Division with the Janesville Jets and the Port Huron Fighting Falcons. See standings below:
