Mar 28, 2013

The Springfield Jr. Blues go into the final weekend of the season with a chance to make the 2013 NAHL playoffs. The Jr. Blues currently trail the Janesville Jets by 1 point in the North Division. Janesville, who lost Thursday night to Port Huron, travels to the Soo, Michigan this weekend to face the Soo Eagles. The Jets are 0-6 against the Eagles coming into the weekend.

On the other side of the coin, the Jr. Blues play host to the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings. The Jr. K-Wings are 1-5-1 in their last 7 games and have all but locked up 3rd place in the North Division. The Jr. Blues are 0-5-1 against the Jr. K-Wings this season and will need their best effort to get points at home.

The puck drops both nights at 7:05 p.m. Friday night will be Billet Appreciation Night as the Jr. Blues will honor all the billet families during a pre-game ceremony. The team will also be auctioning off BLUE game worn jerseys the team wore all season long. The auction will take place both nights, as the Jr. Blues will auction off 6 jerseys in between each intermission.

Saturday night is Aging Out Player Night. The Jr. Blues will honor the 4 1992 birth year players as their junior eligiblity is coming to an end.

This weekend is also Fan Appreciation Weekend! The team will be giving away merchandise and other items as a way of saying thanks to our fans!
