Jr. Blues Enjoy Weekend Off

As the Springfield Jr. Blues sit back and watch other teams around the NAHL battle for playoff position this weekend, the team will be enjoying a weekend with the fans. Saturday morning the team will be practicing from 9-10 AM at the Nelson Center, which is open to the public. Following the practice, there will be a VIP Skate from 10-11 AM for Season Ticket holders, Sponsors, and Billet Families. If you are not one of the following and would like to participate in the skate, all you have to do is buy season tickets for next season! With the purchase of season tickets for next year, you will invited to skate with the team!

 

Following the skate with the team, the boys will make their way downtown to participate in the Springfield St. Patrick's Day Parade. The team will be riding, walking and rollerblading giving out Jr. Blues stickers! Make sure you come downtown and check out the parade!

 

Around the League- With the Jr. Blues sitting idle this weekend, there are two key series that the Jr. Blues will be watching closely. The Jr. Blues currently sit in the sixth and final playoff spot in the North Division. 5th-place Port Huron faces 1st-place Soo this weekend, Port Huron is only 2 points ahead of the Jr. Blues. 7th-place Janesville hosts 8th-place Michigan this weekend, Janesville is only 2 points behind the Jr. Blues for the final playoff spot. Port Huron and Janesville face each other 3 times in the final 6 games, starting next weekend. This should be a great race to the finish as the Jr. Blues look to lock up a playoff spot the next 2 weekends!
