The Springfield Jr. Blues staff will have their work cut out for them at Main Camp on July 15-20. The Blues expect the camp to be full, once again, this year. There are currently no additional openings available for goaltenders and just a few for forwards and defenseman. According to assistant coach Andy Maher, the Blues have invited the maximum number of goaltenders to their Main Camp to adequately assess the talent that will be there. "We are limiting Main Camp attendance to those invited individuals that we feel have a very high chance of making this team", says Maher. " In our minds, every spot on the team is up for grabs and no one has a guaranteed spot coming into camp. Some of the best talent in the North American Hockey League will be trying out in Springfield. Our staff, fans and Board of Directors all expect a championship team this year and nothing less. Our team expectations are high and kids around the country want to play here. It's a very exciting time for hockey in Springfield."
