Springfield Jr. Blues forwards Spencer DenBeste and Ryan Leibold were both drafted in the United States Hockey League draft Tuesday.
DenBeste, 18, was selected in the 11th round by the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. He finished the season with Springfield appearing in 12 games while scoring 3 goals and adding 5 assists.
Leibold, 18, was selected in the 14th round by the Sioux City Musketeers. He was the only Springfield player to appear in all 60 games, scoring 13 goals and tallying 19 assists. Last week, the Army-West Point commit was awarded the NAHL Academic Achievement Award for the 2016-17 season.
