The Springfield Jr. Blues and Head Coach Tyler Rennette are participating this year in the American Cancer Society Real Men Making Strides of Springfield, IL to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
The Springfield Jr. Blues campaign will begin this week, promoting players stories of how cancer has effected their lives and who they are playing for this month.
The campaign will lead to the team’s annual ‘Pink the Rink Game’ where the ice gets painted pink and Springfield players will be wearing special pink ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ Jerseys on October 27th against the Topeka Roadrunners.
