Brett Skibba Commits to UConn

SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Jr. Blues are proud to announce that Brett Skibba has committed to the University of Connecticut for the fall of 2013. 

 

Skibba, who hales from Verona, WI, is the Jr. Blues leading score this season with 24 goals and 21 assists in 46 games.  Brett will represent the Jr. Blues at next weeks Top Prospects and was the NAHL North Division’s player of the week back in October. 

 

“I am very excited for Brett.  He came into the season in great shape and with a great attitude.  He got off to a great start and has been our most consistent scorer,” said coach Zasowski.  “Brett has earned everything he got and I am excited to watch his excel at UConn.”

 

 

About the Jr. Blues

The Springfield Jr. Blues are the NAHL’s longest running active team, having joined the NAHL back during the 1993-94 season.  The Jr. Blues are just one of seven NAHL teams to have won multiple Robertson Cup Championships (1996, 1997).  Over 160 alumni have gone on to NCAA Division I and III hockey.
